In this video, I take a closer look at a Yugoslavian pistol made by Zastava, the M88A which is a variant of the M88. It is commonly known as a "baby Tokarev" because of the design heritage it shares with the Yugo M57 Tokarev pistol.

It is chambered in 9mm, though it can also be in 40 S&W. It was used briefly before being replaced by the CZ99, though it stayed around for training purposes.

The pistol is like a Tokarev, the trigger goes straight back and the recoil is mild. It does not do anything in particular to stand out from other equivalent firearms, but is an interesting piece of history from the tail end of the Cold War.
