it’s too late to change what is said
now forever has gone and changed
it’s too early to know what’s to come
will times feel right or now feel strange

when will i learn to be happy with what I have
why do i risk throwing ti all away
when will i learn to keep my thoughts to myself
i have yet to know just why i’m this way

it’s too hard to cut the ties that bind
some things are too precious to change
it’s too easy to say all these things
will you leave but i’d hope you’d stay

and when will i strive to be a better man
and will the light i desire ever turn on
and when will i say that i’m pleased with myself
by the time that it comes will you be gone
