One Piece Season 2 UPDATE | Jamie Lee Curtis Casting Talk

There has been an update about the potential casting of Jamie Lee Curtis in a role for season 2 of the Netflix live-action adaptation of the anime One Piece.

Last fall the actress had a back-and-forth with series showrunner, Matt Owens, on social media about playing Dr. Kureha in season 2 of the Netflix series. Both parties seemed to be interested in her playing the part. Owens excited about casting Jamie Lee Curtis since she was coming off of an Oscar win, and Curtis because she has been a longtime fan of One Piece. However, it looks like it’s not in the cards since a scheduling conflict is preventing her involvement.
