EXCERPT:
"Episode 1 "First Things First"
Welcome to the Shuv Show. I’m your host, Christene Jackman. Tonight’s feature is Episode 1 of the 3 part series: “Fascinating First Fruits: The Feasts & a Surprising Revival”.
Episode 1 is foundational to our discussion and is entitled, “First Things First.” This episode contains probably some of the most important things I can share with you, apart from Salvation through the Work of Messiah Yeshua. So please don’t skip Episode 1.

Let’s get right at it. First things first. Let’s start with Psalm 32, an awesome maskil of David that really covers the bases.

TEHILLIM / PSALMS 32
"1 of David. A Maskil. How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!
2 How blessed is the man to whom HaShem does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!
3 When I kept silent [about my sin,] my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was drained away [as] with the fever heat of summer. Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to HaShem"; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.
7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
9 Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, [Otherwise] they will not come near to you.
10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, But he who trusts in HaShem, lovingkindness shall surround him.
11 Be glad in HaShem and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart."

Turn your heart and mind to HaShem. He not only is our King, Kohan Gadol, and Savior: He is our Teacher. We can trust His promise from Ps 32:8, where He said: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”

With that in mind, before delving into the topic of the Appointed Times called First Fruits, I’d like to cover 3 essentials in this first episode:

1) Indispensable steps to correctly study the Scriptures
2) Steps to determine the Truth of a Thing
3) Biblical definition of First Fruits and the Biblical Calendars

THREE ESSENTIALS

#1. Six indispensable steps to correctly study the Scriptures:
PROPER PREMISE, CONTEXT, CULTURE, LITERAL OR POETRY, ORIGINAL LANGUAGES, THE RUACH HAKODESH AS TEACHER

PROPER PREMISE
When studying the Bible, starting with a correct premise or assumption, is critical. It is impossible to arrive at correct interpretations if your starting premise is faulty. Let me say that again: If your mindset assumptions are in error, it is impossible to come to accurate analyses.
Wrong premises remain one of the biggest reasons there are over 45,000 different denominations in Christianity.

WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A FALSE PREMISE?
A false premise is an incorrect proposition or assumption that forms the basis of an argument and renders it logically unsound.

For example, the argument: “all birds can fly, and penguins can’t fly, so penguins aren’t birds.” The premise that “all birds can fly” is false, since the truth is some birds can’t fly, this renders the argument logically unsound. The conclusion that “penguins aren’t birds” is wrong . . . "
