Welcome to the Shuv Show. I'm your host, Christene Jackman. Shuv is a Hebrew word that means to turn, to return back. It's time to return to the Father and His Ways, forsaking our ways. It's time for people to stop "doing what is right in their own eyes," because the Lord's return is certainly nearer than it was years ago. Which brings me to tonight's topic: A Pattern of the Return of Messiah Yeshua.

Here's the thing: people have a lot of ideas on how the "end times" are going to play out. Considering the patterns of History is always a good idea. Think back to First Century. There were various streams of thought on who and what the Messiah would be. Christ, Messiah: those words are translations of the Hebrew word, Mashiach מָשִׁיחַ, which means Anointed. We see this word in Tehilim/Psalms 132:17,

"There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for my Mashiach/Anointed."

In the First Century, those who believed the Messiah would be merely a human Deliverer/King anointed by God were blindsided when Yeshua of Natzaret was put to death on a Roman execution stake. He didn't fit their criteria. But the prophecies portrayed a picture that Messiah possibly might be two different people: one a Suffering Messiah and one a Delivering King Messiah. Remember that message Yochanan/John the Baptist sent from prison to His cousin Yeshua? . . . "
