Dear God in heaven, I want to thank you for giving me this day. Like the psalmist says, today is a special day that you made. I will be happy and joyful in it. I'm giving this day to you. I'll be happy and find joy today because of your love, peace, and protection that is always with me.

God, I trust what you said in your word that good things and kindness will be with me all my life. I ask for the protection of Jesus' love over my whole self today – my heart, mind, and body. I ask for his protection over everything in my life. I'm giving you all my worries and fears.
