I don't even enjoy Arcade Mode without curses which make surviving more difficult but add multipliers to the end score. I finally decided to film the Pixel Ferrets Edition of Mission Impossible. I am still trying to have 20,000 to buy a dragon egg and am wrapping up a few things in Arcadia while aiming for another Catalyst but also got some pretty crazy pins... As of this writing, this 2H BERSERKER (with pre-planned ReSpec'ing) run is the second best ATK score run I've ever recorded....It also beat all (but one) of my previous Mage Runs (MATK) too! I take a moment to prove that towards the end of the recording by interacting with my in-game Arcadia Scoreboard. I hope these videos serve as a guide to anyone else who wants to join the small but competitive Secrets of Grindea Arcade Scoreboard community.

I personally think the bosses in this game are too diverse for any 1 playstyle to be called the "best" but mages tend to have an easier time on solo play due to summons. I avoided Frosty Friend (which I do use even on ATK builds sometimes) to demonstrate how unnecessary that summon always has been. It helps 0 with Bishop and isn't much better with most bosses frankly. Pins were crazy per usual with new high scores but this wasn't supposed to be a score run... I'm still rebuilding Arcadia. I think a little more forethought and I could've better utilized the time crystal and even made it to Bishop! Watch to the end for a look at my personal Scoreboard. Speaking on Bishop specifically, Earth Specialist with a touch of prismatic for EP management and crit-lord has the most potential especially in conjunction with my Archer playstyle but I'm always eager to be proven wrong... I think this run was a bit of a fluke.

Fun Behind the Scenes Fact: Whirl-Slash Gold Charge and Heroic Slam Silver Charge was actually the build I used most of the time when CGMontage and I first played Story Mode on Hard Mode back in the day. He focused on Fire Ball and Frosty Friend but handicapped himself by using an Xbox controller instead of a keyboard. Though my keyboard wasn't capable of as many simultaneous inputs so moving while shielding (as an example) was a problem for me. I still distinctly remember seeing 23 hours of gameplay for months before we finally dove into Arcade Mode. At first, we struggled because we weren't used to the slow motion but quickly found out that limited healing was going to be an even bigger problem. Limiting EP and Def/Healing was why CG and I never even tested Berserk Mode on Story Mode until we watched the way Pydoyks dominated the solo leaderboard on Arcade Mode. I started some testing but erroneously concluded that a standard EP-focused build was essential for the duos Leaderboard. I ended up proving myself wrong doing some Story Mode item farming with BERSERK while recording a Hard Mode Story walkthrough with Vergo which is sadly no longer on Youtube. With a partner on their preferred MATK style as backup, BERSERK is insanely powerful especially on bosses. Strengths/Weaknesses of MATK/ATK complement each other perfectly on duos. I currently play on a Kinesis Gaming Edge Split Keyboard.

"Secrets of Grindea" is finally out of Early Access on Steam and is one of the best purchases for any age or gamer's playstyle.
