Ep. 217 Abigail (One of the BEST horror films EVER!) & #sdcc2024 is NEXT week! YYYEEEESSSSSS!

Well folks, it’s that time of year again and yours truly could not be more EXCITED! #sandiegocomiccon 2024 is literally next week!!! You know what else comes next week?! #deadpoolandwolverine… Insert MIND BLOWN emoji!

So, before Spot of Nerd takes the slightest break (Mainly new episodes… There will be PLENTY of content elsewhere on the social medias of all the AMAZINGNESS that only San Diego Comic Con can bring!) I thought we’d review one of my most FAVOURITE films of all time! Yes, you heard me correctly… #abigail is now on my TOP 20 most beloved films of all time!

But why? How? WTF?!

I know, I know… it’s weird. But trust me when I say I had so much fun watching this movie and doing this review… So much fun in fact, I rewatched Abigail easily over half a dozen times now since. It’s just FUN! It’s FUN-NY… And has such a unique storyline (Different, not Oscar worthy by any means…) relating to one of HORRORS most EPIC baddies, VAMPIRES!

And that’s what makes it so incredible, its SIMPLICITY. Take a set of mercenaries, lure them into believing they can secure millions of dollars just by kidnapping a child… Only to discover the child is a 1000+ year old vampire who likes to “Play with her food!” And you have one of the most BADASS GORE FESTS of all time in cinema… Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed, go and watch ABIGAIL as soon as you possibly can!

But alas, once again, Comic Con starts next week! Or as I like to call it, the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF YEAR! Add ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and you’ve got one INCREDIBLE show!
