Is the WSJ acting cowardly toward Hong journalist Selina Cheng?

It appears as if the WSJ is acting cowardly, as they did not want their journalist Selina Cheng to be head of the Hong Kong Journalist Association. They agreed with the Chinese government, which is disturbing.
