"The Strange World of Planet X" (1958), also known as "Cosmic Monsters" in the US, is a British science fiction horror film directed by Gilbert Gunn. Produced by George Maynard and John Bash, it stars Forrest Tucker and Gaby André. Released in the UK by Eros Films in February 1958 and in the US on July 7, 1958, alongside "The Crawling Eye," the film explores the consequences of a scientist's creation of disruptive magnetic fields. These fields attract UFOs from outer space and lead to catastrophic events like freak storms and mutations in insects and spiders into monstrous creatures.
