Separately, during a tense call with centrist House lawmakers, Biden reportedly became heated, challenging Rep. Jason Crow on national security and asserting his effectiveness in foreign policy, particularly with NATO.

Amid mounting discussions about his withdrawal from the race following a lackluster debate performance, Biden has been described as defensive and irritable by those on recent calls, The Hill has reported.
