Normality Bias and the Russian Nuclear Threats

Addresses one of the comments I have received that Putin keeps threatening nuclear war, but we are still here. Also comments on a Bulletin of The Atomic Scientists article on the subject of Russian nuclear threats. Makes the argument that Russia has not used nuclear weapons yet as none of their well-publicised red lines for using nukes have not been crossed. I also argue that Russia keeps pointing out their willingness to use nukes due to their view that Western leaders are so arrogant and foolish, as well as so hell-bent on crushing Russia that they need to be repeatedly reminded of the consequences of crossing Russia's red lines. I end by pointing out the need for diplomacy and compromise if we are to avoid cremating the northern hemisphere.
