Genesis 26: Isaac, facing a famine in the land, goes to Gerar, where God appears to him and reaffirms the covenant made with Abraham. Isaac encounters opposition from the Philistines but eventually prospers, digging wells and growing wealthy. He makes a treaty with Abimelech, the king of Gerar.
