Strange Things About the Trump Assassination Attempt

Either we just witnessed the grossest incompetence ever on display from the Secret Service and police at the Trump rally where a would-be assassin attempted to kill Donald Trump, or something strange is going on.

Jonathan Willis, the officer in the famous photo of the two snipers on the roof that day, claims "top brass" of the police/Secret Service prevented him from taking a shot on Crooks, the shooter of Trump.

Willis claims he had Crooks in his sights for several minutes before the Crooks opened fire on the Trump rally. Was it incompetence or something more sinister?

Furthermore, the events leading up to the shooting, such as the crowd trying to get the attention of law enforcement for several minutes doesn't add up.
