Reject: A Super Superhero Story (part 25)

*In the midst of showing off his Avarr armor to Zach, the Ten Man feels something he never expected. A superhero with speed, one of the beings he refers to as the Quick, is nearby and has yet to leave. In all his time dealing with superheros, the Ten Man has faced off with others of the Quick but they moved so fast his Avarr armor was never able to fully read their energy patterns to duplicate the powers they have. The Ten Man knows each of the Quick have the ability to access the Velocity Vortex but up until that moment, speaking with Zach as his other robots fight Reject, the Ten Man never expected one of the Quick to be foolish enough to run around an area for an extended period of time. Usually their entrance into the Velocity Vortex meant they could traverse an area endlessly in a matter of half seconds, yet the Ten Man feels Sister Salvation inside the Velocity Vortex and she has yet to leave. For some reason she is playing along the many corners of this burning warehouse, not leaving as she is content to use the Velocity Vortex for purposes the Ten Man has yet to understand. But, and to be honest, the Ten Man also doesn't care. In an instant he loses any desire to show off for Zach, or even to still fight Reject, because Sister Salvation has given him a greater gift. His Avarr armor knows the pattern and can now enter the Velocity Vortex which the Ten Man immediately does. That realm allows him to move at speeds thought only fantasy a second before, speeds that also put him on a level where he can attack Sister Salvation in mid run. Why just be content with merely copying her abilities when he can fight her, defeat her, and then dissect her so her gifts will never be taken from him [AI Art]*
