Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez guilty on all charges in federal corruption trial

Senator Bob Menendez, D-N.J., and his associates Fred Daibes and Wael Hana were found guilty on all charges in a federal corruption trial after a nine-week proceedings in Manhattan.

Menendez, who pleaded not guilty, was convicted on 16 counts for accepting bribes in exchange for political favors, exposing him to a potential sentence of over 200 years, though such a lengthy sentence is unlikely.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 29.

Despite the conviction, Menendez condemned the verdict and refused to resign, stating he never violated his oath.

His attorneys plan to appeal the decision, Fox News has reported.
