The shelter is partnering with the Bissell Pet Foundation as they work to get the facility as empty as they can. It's part of the foundation's "Empty the Shelters" event and also involves 390 other shelters in 44 states. Animals on the HSHV website with golden hearts on their profile can be adopted for free.
