Human rights are universal, inalienable, indivisible, interdependent and interrelated1. They are universal because everyone is born with and possesses the same rights, regardless of where they live, their gender or race, or their religious, cultural or ethnic background1. They are inalienable because people’s rights can never be taken away1. The 30 universal human rights include rights to life, education, organize, and be treated fairly, among others2. They also cover freedom of opinion, expression, thought, and religion2. Human rights are inalienable and indispensable rights of all, regardless of creed, race, tribe, religion, etc.3.
