Lemper , Indonesian Sticky Rice with Chicken Fiiling

Lemper Ayam is a very famous indonesian snack made with sticky rice and slightly sweet and savoury chicken the special aroma comes from the banana leaves covering, very yummy and filling , often eaten for breakfast too , i hope you enjoy the video matur suksma 🙏🏽😊

Ingredients :

For boiling the chicken :
400 gr chicken breast fillets
500 ml water for boiling the chicken
pinch of salt
3 pcs Salam leaves

For the sticky rice :
500 gr Ketan kukus
water for steaming the sticky rice
3/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/2 tsp salt

For the paste
30 gr shallots
20 gr garlic
3 pcs candlenut
2 lemongrass
5 pcs kaffir lime leaves
3 pcs salam leaves
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp mushrooms or chicken bouillon powder
1 tsp sea salt
1 tbsp + 2 tsp sugar
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup water
If need it you can always add more water

Banana leaves
Thin bamboo stick
