It appears was an inside job, not a staged assassination attempt.
There is evidence.
The sniper on the roof near Trump, Jonathan Willis, declared he wanted to shoot the gunner on the far roof, he wanted to shoot him for 3 min, the head of the security said to him not to shoot him out.
Most of the Secret Services were deployed at the Gill Biden event, that was taking place not far away, Trump was left with few security men and women, and their chief was probably corrupted, according to Willis accusations.
The gunman was a young individual, he gave money to the Biden campain, then he got the card of a republican party member, probably in order to vote for Haley, against Trump.
Before the shots Trump had his right arm elevated towards the assassin, for long seconds, so he couldn't fire, then Trump took down his arm and he fired. Probably this casual action by Trump took the assassin out of self control, and he missed. He was young and probably emotional at those moments. An innocent man died, another one was seriously wounded, others were lightly wounded. The "White Hats", are responsible for many political and military acts, but they try not to injure innocent and not involved people. So it appears not to be a staged assassination, if that was the case, nobody should die or being seriously wounded.
It appears it was an inside job, Trump this time was very lucky, according to the evidence I saw till now. It can be a different case, of course, right now it appears to me a real assassination attempt.
