Booming Volcanic Eruptions On Hawaii's Big Island

The eyes of the world are turned towards the volcano bursting, discharging toxic gas and exploding on Hawaii’s Big Island. Its activities are increasing in intensity, sending streams of molten rock sheeting down into the ocean and hurling lava into the clouds. Scientists say there is no possibility to predict the course or the length of the eruption. More than 2,000 residents are evacuated and several homes have already been destroyed.

Kilauea volcano started erupting more than two weeks ago and has scorched dozens of households, made thousands of people to take flight and shot up volcanic ash clouds from its peak.
It has become evident in recent days that lava turned from slow-moving black mass to red running torrents spattering resilient locals who refuse to leave the affected area. Substantial lava flows have singed everything in its path. The flows accelerated after newer lava began emerging from the ground late last week. The newer lava is hotter and is likely to move faster than the older lava that was unleashed earlier.

In the video on the top of the page, shot in Kapoho, Hawaii, USA, on May 17, 2018, you can see a few of the dramatic scenes unfolding in Hawaii. This one of many fissures that have lava flows and eruptions.
Officials prompted tourists that flights have not been affected, even on the Big Island. There, travelers are free to do most of the usual sightseeing activities that aren’t connected with the erupting volcano.
