RNC 2024 - Purnima Nath Discusses Her Congressional Campaign in Milwaukee 2024 RNC Interview
Milwaukee, WI (RNC 2024) — Sandy Smith of "Citizen Media News" recently interviewed Purnima Nath, a Republican candidate for Wisconsin's 4th congressional district, during the RNC Convention. Nath, a staunch advocate for national security, border security, immigration reform, and education, shared her motivations and goals for her congressional run.
"I've been working and speaking on border issues, national security, terrorism, and legal immigration for the past four years," Nath stated. She emphasized that these topics are now recognized as critical, driving her decision to run for Congress.
Nath's campaign website is nathpurnima.com, and she can be followed on Twitter at @PurnimaNath. She has previously run for several offices in Milwaukee, including a bid for the Assembly District 23, always as a conservative Republican.
When asked about her campaign's challenges, Nath highlighted the historical Democratic dominance in Wisconsin's 4th district. "Our city has been ruled by Democrats for 100 years. The congressional seat has been under Democrat control since 1949," she noted. Despite these odds, Nath believes her platform addressing national security, border security, and immigration will resonate with voters.
Nath criticized the current handling of immigration, describing the influx of illegal immigrants as an "infiltration" and an "invasion of America." She distinguished herself as a legal immigrant from India who has waited years for citizenship, contrasting this with the rapid benefits provided to illegal immigrants. "It's not only unfair but sets a destructive precedent," she argued.
An endorsement from Tom Homan, the former border security chief under President Trump, bolsters Nath's stance on immigration. "Tom Homan's endorsement means a lot. He is one of the toughest on border security," Nath said.
Discussing her campaign's outreach, Nath mentioned her presence on various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with Twitter being her primary platform for communication.
Nath called for support from conservatives, stressing the importance of challenging Democratic strongholds. "We need strong conservative candidates to make a difference. If we don't run against them, we'll never make any inroads," she said.
In closing, Nath reiterated the importance of addressing border security and immigration issues, thanking Sandy Smith for the interview. "This conversation is very important. We didn't have this conversation four years ago or even two years ago," she emphasized.
