Trump shot on side of the head in apparent assassination attempt at Pa. rally

CAUTION: Disturbing Content. Gunfire seemed to break out at a rally attended by former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania as he addressed the crowd — reportedly grazing his ear, according to law enforcement.

What appeared to be gunshots were heard approximately five minutes into his speech around 6 p.m., prompting Trump to drop to the ground while Secret Service agents swiftly intervened to shield him. Sources indicated that an investigation is underway to determine whether the shots originated from a BB gun.

Trump appeared to clutch his ear moments before being escorted to the ground by Secret Service personnel. As he was hurried away, he was overheard requesting his shoes.

A trace of blood was visible on the right side of his face.

Military personnel in combat attire were observed rushing towards the rally venue.
