What is the Year of the LORD's Favor? - Luke 4 & Isaiah 61

Yeshua defined His ministry & purpose in His hometown of Nazereth by quoting from Isaiah 61. The Ruach Elohim, the Spirit of ADONAI was upon Him.
Yeshua expressed the Good News - an idea predating the New Testament but - one Isaiah had already defined. It's the Promise of the Jubilee--release, freedom & return--that had never really been enacted. Jubilee became something that would finally be accomplished by Messiah when He arrived.

Messiah had arrived, but He was not recognized. So like the generation that first arrived at the Promised Land when they sent out the 12, they missed the moment and so fulfillment was delayed.
