It follows Galadriel, Elrond, Sauron and the rest of the characters as the Rings of Power are forged and the world of Middle Earth takes shape. The second season is set to air on August 29 and if this trailer is any indication, this new season doesn't look any better than the first.

Based on J. R. R. Tolkien's history of Middle-earth, it takes primarily from the appendices of the novel The Lord of the Rings and is set thousands of years before the novel depicting the major events of Middle-earth's Second Age. It is produced by Amazon Studios in association with New Line Cinema.
