Wooden Jar Made On The Scroll Saw

In this video I do Carole Rothman's project from her book "Scroll Saw Wooden Bowls". This book has several bowls as well as vases and this one, a jar. She calls it Ginger Jar. She made hers with maple with a teak base. I had no teak so I used purpleheart for contrast, I did use maple for the body of the jar. This is a vase with two sets of rings, a center ring and a lip and lid at the top to make it a jar. She was inspired by a ceramic ginger jar lamp. The base is compound cut in four pieces and glued back together to get the curved feet and the corners. Not a super diffcult project but a lot of sanding and shaping. I was interupted by a hurricane and a trip to check on a family member and was not sure I could get a cohesive video done but I think I made it. Maybe next week I can focus on my video a bit better.
