July 13, 2024 - WISH Announces Passing of Indianapolis Civic Leader Jim Morris

Seen on the Indy station's Saturday morning newscast. Morris served as chief of staff for then-Mayor Richard Lugar and helped create Unigov and IUPUI. He worked to develop Market Square Arena and establish the Indiana Sports Corp. and served as president of Lilly Endowment Inc. Morris was CEO and chair of Indianapolis Water Company and executive director of the World Food Programme. He was also president of the Indiana Pacers and a longtime member of the Indiana University Board of Trustees. He was 81 years old.
