Australia to send $250m package to Ukraine

Australia will provide Ukraine with its largest single military package since the beginning of Russia's invasion.

Under the new deal, $250 million has been earmarked for weapons and equipment while some defence personnel will be transferred to a new NATO security and training program for Ukraine.

NATO allies have also agreed on $64 billion of military support over the next year.

The announcement follows Moscow's recent bombardment on Kyiv in which dozens of people were killed.
