في 10 يوليو 2024، خلال الانتخابات الفرعية في دائرة مانجلور بولاية أوتاراخاند، اشتبكت الشرطة مع الناخبين المسلمين، مما أدى إلى وقوع عدة إصابات. ويقول الضحايا إنهم مُنعوا من التصويت. واتهم زعيم محلي بالكونغرس الشرطة بقمع أصوات المسلمين، داعيا إلى إجراء تحقيق فوري ومحاسبة لضمان عملية انتخابية نزيهة.
