Can You Defend The Deity Of Christ? | Part 3

In my lesson titled: Can You Defend The Deity Of Christ? | Part 3 ... I continued defending the Deity of Christ against common and popular objections that are made that try to disprove His Deity.

Many people do not believe that Jesus Christ is Deity! There are many Bible passages and arguments that people use to try to disprove Christ's Deity... And... Some of these arguments that are made by people are well thought up! They are not elementary arguments! They are elaborate arguments that can stump some Christians... And... Can even overthrow the faith of spiritually immature Christians if they are not diligent students of God's word!

However... All of the various arguments that are put forth that try to disprove Christ's Deity can be answered... And... In this sermon series... I answered some of those popular arguments that have been made by utilizing the Bible to expose them all as having no validity whatsoever in disproving the Deity of Christ!

This lesson has four main points. These four main points are arguments that people use attempting to disprove the Deity of Christ. For these four main points... I presented the arguments... The passage or related passages that people point to when trying to make these arguments... And then... I addressed these arguments showing how they do not disprove the Deity of Christ.

It is worth noting that all of the arguments that I addressed in Part 2 and Part 3 of this sermon series are ones that Jehovah's witnesses... In particular... Make... And... This should be no surprise because this religious group... Along with many other religious groups... Believes that it is blasphemy to believe that Jesus Christ is Deity.

The first main argument that I addressed in this lesson that some people make trying to disprove Jesus' Deity was this... They will say, "We believe that Jesus was 'a god' ... However... He is not Jehovah God like the Father."

The second main argument that I addressed in this lesson that some people make trying to disprove Jesus' Deity was this... They will say, "John 17:3 proves that Jesus is not Deity because it makes a distinction between God the Father and Jesus... And... This shows that they are not equal."

The third main argument that I addressed in this lesson that some people make trying to disprove Jesus' Deity was this... They will say, "In John 14:28... Jesus said, 'My Father is greater than I….' Therefore... Jesus is not equal with God and is not Divine like the Father."

The fourth main argument that I addressed in this lesson that some people make trying to disprove Jesus' Deity was this... They will say, "1 Corinthians 15:28 reveals that in the future... Jesus will be subject to the Father... And... Therefore... This shows that He is not equal with the Father and is not Deity."

This lesson may challenge what you currently believe... And that is okay! I do not want you nor anyone to take my words as the final authority... Because they are not the final authority!

God's word is the ultimate and final authority in all spiritual matters! I only want you and others to accept the words that I have spoken in this lesson if they line up with what the Bible teaches.

I invite you to put the words that I have spoken in this lesson to the test... Go and search the Scriptures for yourself... And see if what I have said is true. Always check and make sure that what I teach and what anyone else teaches lines up with what the Bible teaches!

Be like the noble Bereans who "received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). In 1 Thessalonians 5:21... Paul said, "Test all things; hold fast what is good."
