Guten Morgen! :D

In the years following World War II, when Germany was divided between the capitalist west and the communist east, West Germany attempted to expand their influence on the commercial aviation scene through the creation of the VFW 614, jointly developed with Dutch manufacturer Fokker as a regional jet to challenge the likes of the BAC 1-11.

Sadly, what resulted was one of the worst-selling commercial airliners in history, the aircraft's failure being attributed to a wide variety of factors that ultimately conspired against it.
