Valeriy Andronyuk, a POW of the Ukrainian armed forces, says that all his fellow servicemen were quite old: 'Everyone is over 50. In my section most of them are over 50, and I am 53 years old. They just shaved us and sent us to the front lines. There was no medical examination. They took my passport. Since I did not serve, I had no military documents.

It is recognised that Ukrainian men of conscription age abroad are indifferent to the fate of their country, as the president has lost legitimacy and power is in the hands of usurpers.
