Back in 2009 Eddie Van Halen found out I was making a Van Halen guitar tutorial DVD for my series Phrase By Phrase guitar method. Eddie’s manager got in touch with me and said, “Hey, Eddie thinks what you’re doing is really cool. He wants you to use a prototype of his new Wolfgang electric guitar.” They sent me the guitar, which is what I used exclusively on the entire DVD. Folks, this was one of the greatest honors of my life and music career. Eddie was the reason I switched from acoustic to electric at a young age, and he wants me to use his guitar on my DVD. What an awesome experience! RIP my friend and inspiration.
