Turkey took the lead in the first-half via a Samet Akaydin header. Meanwhile, Netherlands staged a comeback, as Stefan de Vrij equalised in the 70th-minute and then a Merd Muldur (76') own goal saw them clinch a 2-1 win. “It was really a battle today,” De Vrij said. “The Turkish team they have a big heart, a lot of quality. In the end we did well and we deserved the win.”
