Corporate Bankruptcies Hit A High In June: Is The U.S. Economy Slowing?

Posted • July 11, 2024: Even though the calls from Democrats for President Biden to step aside and end his bid for reelection are beyond frustrating for his campaign, the White House can take some solace in knowing much of the media's still helping them out in other areas. Consider the issue of Bidenflation. Inflation was about 1.4 percent when Biden took office, and since then he's been lying by claiming inflation was nine percent when he entered the White House. That was too much BS for even CNN to handle: “Facts First: Biden’s claim that the inflation rate was 9% when he became president is not close to true. The year-over-year inflation rate in January 2021, the month of his inauguration, was about 1.4%. The Biden-era inflation rate did peak at about 9.1% – but that peak occurred in June 2022, after Biden had been president for more than 16 months. The March 2024 inflation rate, the most recent available rate at the time Biden made these comments, was about 3.5%, up from about 3.2% the month prior.”

All while Biden's been lying about having brought inflation down, the media's been helping him with the spin. The most recent inflation report has brought with it more of the same from the MSM. A couple of examples: Good news for US consumers: Inflation just fell for the first time since the early part of the pandemic https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/11/economy/us-cpi-consumer-inflation-june/index.html -- Does it feel like "good news" when you go to the grocery store? -- New York Times: U.S. consumer prices rose 3% in the year through June, a sharper slowdown in the pace of inflation than economists had expected. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2024/07/11/business/cpi-inflation-fed

The Hill's headline was the most misleading: Prices fell in June for first time since pandemic https://thehill.com/business/4765773-inflation-dips-3-percent-june/ -- Prices going up at a slightly slower rate does not mean they're "falling." Either they're stupid or they hope you are. Usually with the media the answer to that is "a little of both." They're not about to report what's really been going on: 🚨 SINCE BIDEN TOOK OFFICE 🚨

Gas: +49.1%
Electricity: +31.6%
Fuel oil: +46.4%
Airfare: +32%
Hotels: +52.3%
Groceries: +21.3%
Eating out: +22.7%
Baby food: +30.5%
K-12 food: +65.1%
Rent: +21.5%
Used cars: +21.3%
Public transportation: +22.3%
Real average weekly earnings: -3.6%

THAT'S what "Bidenomics" has helped bring about. Putting Biden (or whoever's on the Dem ticket) into office for four more years of this will end even worse than it is now. These numbers must return to zero before Biden can claim any progress on inflation. But Team Biden, with help from the media, will still keep trying to claim progress on inflation. Then they'll call for more programs to "help" people deal with the problem that will involve printing more money. The definition of insanity has never been more clearly defined. -- Corporate Bankruptcies Hit A High In June: Is The U.S. Economy Slowing? (…)
