Tying the Lady Gray wet Fly

Step by Step showing you how to tie the Lady Gray wet fly.

The Lady Gray is another wet fly from Ray Bergman's book Trout (page 435, plate #5). Similar to the Emma it has a wing made from Jungle Cock body feathers which gives the fly a very streamlined appearance. The Lady Gray is an easy wet fly to tie that can be very productive. -- Enjoy

Hook: Mustad 3399, #6-#16
Thread: Danville 6/0, Black
Tail: Barred Mandarin (Mallard Flank in video)
Rib: Danville Silver/Gold Mylar Tinsel, #14, Silver
Body: Blue-Gray Rabbit Fur
Hackle: Schlappen, Red tied Palmer
Wing: Jungle Cock Body Feather
