#333 - 20130420 - Modified Crosman 760 Muzzle Velocity test!

Follow up to my video #311 on modifying a pre-1975 Crosman 760 air rifle. Today I try the Chrono Connect Android app to measure the actual muzzle velocity.

I measured a max 768 FPS. Actually pretty darn good! Later research finds this vintage 760 rated 510 FPS max typically hit only 430 FPS! 330 FPS gain! Top modern air rifles are rated at about 800 FPS.

My actual max FPS was probably even a tiny bit higher because the ballistic coefficient of the BB's I was using is actually 0.010, not 0.012.

I do plan to try it with some high quality pellets soon too!
