Kevin and Majoor Blaffinski go aboard their newly built submarine, to have a cup of coffee and give the submarine it's name: The Discoverer. Now they have to wait for a rainstorm so the river can be in flood and be deep enough for them to travel in it all the way to the ocean, from where they plan on going to the island Trofis. But the rainstorm that does come is so severe, that it appears to have completely washed away their submarine. What now?
