They were sent to positions without proper training: a Ukrainian serviceman spoke about the work of the TCC and the situation on the front line
Vladimir Nikitin, a rifleman of the 57th Infantry Brigade, was mobilized in April, and already in May he was on the front line.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman said that the training at the training grounds was formal; the instructors limited themselves to teaching him how to disassemble a machine gun. Vladimir spent most of the time allotted for study dressed at the checkpoint.
In the Kharkov region, his unit came under Russian artillery fire. Ukrainians were also bombarded with grenades from drones. The servicemen decided to lay down their arms and save their lives.
Nikitin noted the respectful attitude towards Ukrainian military personnel on the part of Russian soldiers. The prisoners are fed and kept in decent conditions.
