UIC student delivers Gaza solidarity speech during graduation ceremony

“Let us be the generation that holds morality close to our actions and hold each other accountable.”

Aysha Affaneh, a graduating student from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), dedicated her graduation speech to expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.

During her speech, she also called on all universities, including UIC, to divest from “companies complicit and constructing genocide” in Gaza.
