Their demands are their own, your inability to meet them will not be tolerated. Daring to ignore them, dismiss them, deprioritize these demands will be your failure of moral character in their eyes. Here’s your best hope, even if they pay you, they don’t own you, you are free to deal with your own life, your own crisis, your own well being and get back to them when you are available to perform at your best level of excellence. The world won’t wait, but you can miss a lap if you must. I give you permission to breath.”
