Gaza Death Toll Could Surpass 186,000 Amid Israel's War: Lancet

The Lancet recently reported that the Gaza death toll could be over 186,000 people. The official death toll has slowed by a lot in the past few months. But anyone paying attention can tell you that the new numbers of around 37,000 are nonsensical. It was months ago that we were warned of impending famine. Naturally, with no way to definitively tally the dead, the famine is out of the news. But it is happening nonetheless. It is a logical assumption that the death toll early on was far more accurate given that the Gaza Health Ministry was not in disarray to the extent it is now. This indicates that the death toll is actually accelerating, not slowing. Because at some point since the numbers began to slow around 25,000, that number shot way up. We could lose a million people by the end of 2024, maybe sooner. So the question becomes, is Israel trying to murder EVERY Palestinian in Gaza? If this was all planned, it would make sense.

Shut off power and internet to prevent information from leaving Gaza.

Refuse to allow aid to enter Gaza.

Level Gaza to make its residents refugees without food sources other than aid.

Destroy hospitals to prevent medical care for the injured.

Torture and murder aid workers and doctors to create fear among those who save lives.

Destroy the infrastructure to prevent an accurate count of the dead.

These six actions match up perfectly with what someone would do to murder 2 million people with very little media coverage. If a number of dead is not "official," then corporate media won't use it. Also, explosions, bullets, and blood gather a lot more media coverage than a slow, agonizing death by starvation. The vast majority of Gazans could die, and the number dead might still be in the 10s of thousands. The public won't know the scale of what has happened until it's over. And by then, it will be far too late.
