Pacific414 Pop Talk Watch Party: True Grit (2010)

Welcome to tonight's edition of Pacific414 Pop Talk where we invite one and all to join us as we watch the 2010 remake of the 1969 John Wayne classic western, True Grit.

This version of the classic western is directed by the Coen brothers Ethan and Joel Coen (The Big Lebowski) while the screenplay is written by Ethan and Joel Coen and Charles Portis.

The film stars Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn, a U.S. Marshall hired by Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) to track down her father's murderer Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin) before her family loses everything they have.

This film also stars Matt Damon as LaBoeuf, a Texas Ranger tasked with apprehending Tom Chaney for previous crimes he committed.

This film is an example of a Hollywood remake done right and doesn't diminish the value of the 1969 John Wayne original and I hope that you all enjoy it as we sit back, relax and enjoy this great film!
