Allegan County Clerk Bob Genetski is putting out a warning of scammers

Genetski says the caller says their name is "Chris" from the Allegan County Clerk's Office but has a foreign accent or is generated by artificial intelligence. He says the victims are asked to make arrangements to sign "time sensitive documents" that are not from the clerk's office. Genetski says the calls are coming from the number 866-318-2921, and they do not have an 800 number.
