Little Boy Deeply Upset That He Can't Marry Grandma

Despite being married now, as a little kid I do not recall ever wanting to be married to anyone. I might have been a little too independent as a kid. But when little kids get an idea in their head to want an adult thing they desperately want it. You never want to break a kid’s heart, but sometimes you have to tell them the truth and they don’t always want to hear it.Show more

The little boy in this is upset because he wants to marry is grandmother. However, his mom tells him that he can’t marry her. She tells him that he can’t marry her because she is family. There are some families in backwoods parts of America that would strongly disagree with that, but that’s a story for another day. She then tries to comfort the little boy by telling him that when he grows up he will meet a nice lady who he can marry. That little bit does not appear to work for him as he makes a face.

Did you have an adult thing that you really wanted when you were a kid? Perhaps not marriage but something else. When I was a kid I really wanted to be able to rent a car. I didn’t want to be able to own a car or drive a car. For whatever reason I was super into renting a car. Admittedly, I had that dream all the way up until I turned 25. I mean, but then you get it and it’s not exciting to actually rent a car. Then again, when you’re a kid you don’t know how expensive it will be, same thing for getting married…
