"You Know You're Right" is a song by the music altering phenomenon of the 1990's, Nirvana. it was written by Nirvana's lead vocalist and guitarist, Kurt Cobain. It is the first song on the greatest hits album Nirvana, released by DGC Records in October 2002. It's also the final song the band recorded before Cobain's demise in April of 1994.

For years after its recording, the song was known only from a bootlegged live version, recorded in October 1993 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois, and from a cover by Kurt's widow, Courtney Love's band, Hole.

Surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic had intended to release the studio version on a posthumous Nirvana box set, but Love blocked its release in 2001. After lawsuits, it was released in 2004 on a Nirvana greatest hits compilation.
