No one tested Covid vaccines for transmission

Rep. Thomas Massie: "Doctor Krause. When you reviewed the Pfizer submission for the EUA or the BLA did their studies, did their trials, were they geared to test whether the vaccine prevented transmission?"

Rep. Thomas Massie: "When you issue an EUA, is it also accompanied or as part of that production a list of things that the vaccine manufacturer can or can't say about what their vaccine does or its efficacy?"

Krause, M.D., Former FDA Deputy Chief for Vaccines: "In general that's the case both for EUA and BLA where the FDA not only regulates whether the product can be given to the public or made available to the public but also regulates what statements can be made and it's in the fact sheet for an EUA or the package insert for a licensed product that the claims that the FDA has vetted and agrees are correct need to be listed. And in fact if a company makes an advertisement claiming something that has not been shown to be correct by the FDA's review, then they're breaking the rules."
Rep. Thomas Massie: "They're breaking the law...Did the FDA production ever say that the manufacturer was permitted to say it reduces spread?"
