Winston Churchill once said, "This worldwide conspiracy for the overthrow of civilisation and the reconstitution of society based on arrested development, of envious malevolence, and impossible equality, has been steadily growing".
Donald Rumsfeld once said something that I will paraphrase for clarity. "There are things we know, things we don't know and things we don't know we don't know".
To this, I add "and things forgotten".
My book, "The Asshole Problem" is about ideas have likely never heard before, they are not from popular intellectuals, but come from scholars of jurisprudence, the German Enlightenment and Christian doctrine prior to the 1800's.
In the early 1800s, things started to go haywire in Germany and America.
I explain and illustrate the key ideas of the great sage of Konigsberg, Immanuel Kant, in his three great works from the late 17th century. It's surprising to me that people have heard of Plato, Aristotle, and contemporaries like Einstein, but few have heard of Kant.
Kant provides a solid metaphysical basis for freedom and universal law. He has many claims to fame, but he is primarily known for his warrant for believing in freedom rather than scientific determinism in the human experience. He warned us of the dangers of a scientific age and deterministic philosophy.
Understanding a problem is the first step in solving it, and the truth movement has been long on evidence and short on reason. The explanations I provide are clear and concise and should snap right into place in your mind.
