American Eagle is a twin-tracked racing wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America theme park in Gurnee, Illinois. It was the first wooden roller coaster designed by Intamin of Switzerland.

The ride features a helix and several large drops, with a lift hill of 127 feet and a first drop of 147 feet. The ride dives 20 feet below ground level and has a total track length of 9,300 feet. The ride is made out of Douglas fir trees and took 9,000 gallons of paint, which was applied by hand.

NOTE: Only 1 train was running when I rode it, so was not able to experience any racing.
