Tragedy of Harold Phillips

Dangerous Dog Watch. Harold Phillips died of a vicious dog attack in Detroit in February of 2024. Mr. Phillips was attacked by 3 unsecured pit bull type dogs as he was walking home. The dogs had a history of aggression, and thankfully, the owners have been criminally charged. However, the damage to the family and community is done. Mr. Phillips leaves behind 6 children and his wife. City officials must do a lot more to protect citizens from aggressive dogs and careless and irresponsible aggressive dog owners. An aggressive dog ban must be enacted.
